A friend told me about an earthquake that took pretty much all of asia out of the internet. What I didn't realize is how bad it was. China.cn was my first pick to ping and look for yourself.

What is above is a sample of what happens when MAJOR lines are brought down by an earthquake. The first test shows 72% packet loss. This is pretty bad. The last test you see shows 74% packet loss but this is because it was for a shorter time. They would probably average out to around 60-70%. You can also see which pings are missing. Occasionally it his 2 or 3 packets in a row. Just look at the ICMP_Seq #. Pretty bad...
